A New School Year Begins with Changes

Zoomax hand held video magnifier M5 reached The New York Institute for Special Education (NYISE)

Children are blossoms fertilized by education. For The New York Institute for Special Education (NYISE), a new school year begins with changes: Zoomax hand held video magnifier M5.

Since 1831, NYISE supports four quality programs for children who are blind or visually disabled, emotionally and learning disabled and preschoolers who are developmentally delayed. NYISE offers quality programs, covering Camp Wanaqua (the only Summer Camp program in New York City for blind or visually impaired children) and various programs aiming to different sections, which benefit Thousands of students benefit from the quality programs NYISE offered. For the reading and writing part, Zoomax are honored to help with our low vision aids.

When it comes to a device for educational use, the accessibility is always the focused feature. Dumb one is not favorable for kids; small buttons are hard to see; blackboard is too far to zoom in... facing lots of problems, can Zoomax address them?

"My students enjoy all of the options that are available,"

Said Miss Tina Perretti, Media Teacher at NYISE.

The feedback written by Miss Perretti emphasized the intuitive elements of assistive technology: "The buttons are a comfortable size and offer tactile cues to facilitate use. The touch screen menu is modern and easy to access."

It seems that this testimonial authenticates Zoomax's good design. In fact, this is not the first time Zoomax M5 got good reputation: from students at NAB in Nigeria (M5 Donation to NAB: Better Vision, Better Future and Letter of Appreciation from NAB - M5 Magnifier Donation) to Ruth Sauls of Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (Zoomax Sponsors M5 to NMMU - Overwhelm the Disability) and Ike Presley engaing special education for decades (A Feedback from Mr Ike Presley, Technology Expert from AFB), M5 shows great potential in use for visually impaired students.

For students, or any people who might be coping with vision loss and in need of electronic magnifier, we hope you will explore Zoomax's website to let us know what we can serve you.
