Another Benefit from Cataract Surgery - Less Broken Hips in Aging People

A new research shows that aging patients who have cataract surgery may less likely to fall and suffer a crippling hip fracture comparing to those who haven't undergone surgery. The number is up to 28%.

Hip crack is also a major health problem among the elderly with low vision which may cause more serious health problem, even death. And also the cost for fall-related injuries is expensive as well. So this research may impact many aging people to develop cataracts by age 80 not only for a better and quality life, but also for lower risk in hip crack.

Except surgery, lots of aging people would like to enjoy the benefit of assistive technology, such as electronic magnifiers and glass magnifiers.
